Amon Carter Museum of American Art

One of Fort Worth’s most esteemed museums, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art has been an institution in the Cultural District since 1961. Its collection primarily focuses on American art from the 19th and 20th centuries. From photographs by famed landscape photographers Ansel Adams and Edward Weston to paintings by Georgia O’Keeffe and Thomas Cole, art enthusiasts of all ages can find something to enjoy here.
The museum welcomes groups of all sizes, whether it’s for a school field trip, a family outing, or even a company team-building excursion. Guided and self-guided tours are available to groups—but if you’re with more than 10 visitors, call ahead to schedule your group tour. They’re also offered throughout the day. Bass Performance Hall

Located in the heart of Sundance Square, this world-renowned performance hall is easily recognizable by its majestic, curved facade and grand columns. The Bass Performance Hall opened in 1998 and hosts the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Texas Ballet Theater, Fort Worth Opera, and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.

Bureau of Engraving and Printing Fort Worth

Located near the DFW Airport, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Fort Worth offers a one-of-a-kind look into how American paper money is printed. You’ll learn about the history of money printing, and you can even look down from an elevated walkway to see millions upon millions of dollars being printed.
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing offers free, 45-minute tours to the public, but you’ll want to make sure you reserve your spot in advance! Tours are popular and are offered Tuesday through Friday every half hour. Groups wanting to reserve a private tour should make their reservations at least three weeks before their trip and can call (817) 231-4000 ext. 4002 with any questions they may have.
For school groups visiting the Money Factory, there’s no need to worry about finding parking for a traditional school bus. The Bureau of Engraving has ample parking spaces for oversized vehicles.
Casa Mañana

If you’re looking for another amazing theatre, Casa Mañana is a must. This iconic performance center, often called “The House of Tomorrow”, has presented Broadway plays, musicals, and children’s theater since it was built in 1936. Casa Mañana is also a registered historical landmark and is one of the few theaters of its kind that was built using funds from the Works Progress Administration.
Casa Mañana offers group tickets for parties of 10 or more. Groups can request private box seats to watch one of the Broadway hits that are frequently presented or opt for lower level seats to see a classic children’s show. For school trips to Casa Mañana, student tickets start at $14, and every 15th student receives free admission! You’ll also find free bus parking on-site for your school bus or motorcoach.
Fort Worth Museum of Science and History

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History offers visitors a dynamic learning experience. You’ll have access to a variety of exhibits that focus on science, history, and technology. Explore the dinosaur bones in DinoLabs, learn about the planets at the Noble Planetarium, or see a unique IMAX film with your group at the Omni Theater.

Kimbell Art Museum

One of the most well-known art institutions in the Southwest, the Kimbell Art Museum attracts locals and visitors alike. The museum is known for its world-class collection of art ranging from antique Roman and Egyptian artifacts to European modern masters.
Art enthusiasts should make a stop at the museum to see a breathtaking selection of paintings from artists like Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Monet, and Picasso. The museum also has an acclaimed Asian art collection with items from China, Japan, Korea, and more.
To enjoy general admission to the permanent galleries, you won’t need to pay a fee, though special exhibitions, films, and events have entry fees. Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth

This museum’s permanent collection has an extensive survey of modern art, from abstract to post-war to contemporary. The building itself is worth admiring as well. Designed by Tadao Ando, the museum’s distinct minimalist concrete architecture makes it one of the most recognized buildings in the city.
Admission to the museum is free on Fridays and half price on Sundays, so your group can enjoy the galleries at a discount.
Sid Richardson Museum

In Sundance Square, the Sid Richardson Museum is a fantastic free museum to spend an afternoon.
