They don’t have a full menu, but if you’re visiting on the weekend you’ll find food trucks parked on-site. You can also bring snacks to eat with your beers.

No guide to eating in Fort Worth would be complete without a mention of the famous Joe T. Garcia’s! This historic restaurant has been a part of Fort Worth’s food scene for almost a century, drawing in locals and visitors with the promise of fresh, delicious Mexican food and some of the best margaritas in town. Visiting Joe T’s requires a bit of patience though; their food is in such high demand that they don’t take reservations. Be sure to arrive early in the evening if you want a table for your group or come prepared to stand in line for an hour or more. The good news is that there are lines for both indoor and outdoor seating. If you have time to spare, choose the outdoor line—it tends to be a little longer, but you’ll be treated to gorgeous landscaping and soothing fountains while you wait.

And don’t worry, your group won’t be thirsty while they wait. You can visit the bar near the host stand to order a pitcher of their signature margaritas.

Goldee’s BBQ serves some of the best barbecue in the state! For budget-minded groups, dine in on Tuesday-Saturday from 5pm to 6pm for “Sparkling Hour”, where all bottles of wine are 50% off—the perfect opportunity to indulge yourself with a bottle or two to share.
